In July we got a call from a couple who had recently visited St. Lucia on a cruise.  During the visit they befriended a stray dog in Castries.  So struck by the animal they called to investigate how easy it would be to adopt and take him back to Canada.

They returned to the island a week later and with the help of SLAPS President Pam Devaux they searched for the dog over a two day period.  Unable to find him, Pam took them to see other strays needing a home.

They were very taken with a couple of pups and decided to adopt both! Within a week the puppies had their medical papers and were off to a new life in Canada.
